The public service is open Tuesdays to Thursdays, 9.30am to 4.00pm with document ordering available from 9.30am to 12 and 1pm to 3pm each day. Our Saturday openings in 2024 are 4 March, 22 June, and 5 October. Changes will include free self-service photography of material available in the public search room (excludes documents from strongrooms). Ancestry update: by the time you read this we expect Bishops’ transcripts, c1780 to 1921, to be available online. These records cover baptisms, marriages and burials for the whole Methodist register entries are also likely to be available in the early part of 2024.
