We take great pride in the level of care and the range of facilities and services that we are able to offer you and your pet. We are the longest established practice in the area, having been in existence since the 1940’s. We are a dedicated small animal practice currently run from three sites, the main practice along Chelmsford Road on the outskirts of Purleigh village, the Maldon practice in Wantz Road, this is to be closed soon and the Althorne practice opened instead and the Althorne practice at Wrekin’s farm on the Burnham Road. The practices are supported by nine experienced veterinary surgeons, nine qualified veterinary nurses, three trainee veterinary nurses, two veterinary care assistants and twelve reception staff. We aim to provide a high quality, caring and professional service, with friendly staff in a welcoming and relaxed environment. The Maldon, practice has operating facilities, blood testing, nurse consulta tions, full-time qualified veterinary nurse on site and dental facilities whilst the Althorne practice has the same facilities as at the Purleigh site As well as providing the highest standard of veterinary care for our patients we wish to develop an exceptional professional relationship with you – their owners! We endeavour to achieve this by offering continuity of vet when ever possible; encouraging client feedback and communication and providing excellent and empathetic customer care. We are committed in providing a service that is excellent value for money, clinical care and an extensive range of preventative health services that we can offer your pet. The Purleigh branch is the main site, where our surgery, X-rays, blood testing and further investigations take place.
