The public service is open Tuesdays to Thursdays, 9.30am to 4.00pm with document ordering available from 9.30am to 12 and 1pm to 3pm each day. HGS volunteer expertise is also available to the public during these times. Saturday dates in 2025 are 8 March, 14 June and 20 September. These will be a great addition to our nearly 8 million records already available online. Do you have access to Ancestry but cannot find the entry you seek by typing in a name? If you have a fair idea of when and where your ancestor was baptised/married/buried, why not try scrolling through individual parish registers using the Browse this Collection function? This appears in each dataset on the right-hand side of the search page. Choose Parish Registers in the Type field then pick your parish and register dates in the Register field and off you go!
