Marilyn – Had her daughter and family staying. When they finally were able to go home a book of “Lockdown with the Lovetts” was compiled as a gift. A lovely historical treasure to pass on. David – Used a Newspaper Article to research, his Uncle, during the Boer War through the Veterans of Boer War, East Surrey FH. This led to questions and further research of Atkins line. He also did a DNA Application and received 319 matches and confirmed links to Atkins/Pierce/Mumford/Breton and to places in Australia/Canada. Also, a link to the Ripper Murders. Dawn (New Member) – Aw she was adopted at birth is looking for information about her birth families. Jackie - Encouraged a friend to do his FH with Ancestry. They found connections with the name Windebank, so her friend David is now her 3rd cousin once removed! Pam – Working on updating her records. Peter – Spent some time sorting out locations for his mother and Grandmother in Petersfield and Fareham Luckily the release of the 1921 census was able to clarify some facts. It was a very useful evening to share a range of research sources and applications. Forthcoming Meetings:
